ABBL

Having initiated the Luxembourg School of Finance (LSF) in 2002, the financial sector strengthened its commitment to academic research by creating the Luxembourg School of Finance Foundation (FLSF) in 2006. The Foundation’s mission is to assist and support the University of Luxembourg in all of its activities in relation to the financial sector, and regrouped under the Luxembourg School of Finance, the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg.

Bolstered by an initial investment from the ABBL, the LSF Foundation’s mission is to encourage the development of the Luxembourg School of Finance by:

• Advising the University management in the orientation of subject matter to be taught as well as in the choice of research subjects.
• Participate in the management of the LSF via a steering committee established by an agreement between the University and the financial sector.
• Supporting the LSF materially in the form of study or research scholarships or any other financial help.
• Channelling research projects initiated by operators of the financial centre.
