The Luxembourg Financial Industry Federation’s primary objective is to intensify the promotion of the image of the Luxembourg financial centre through structured and professional action. PROFIL was established by operators that play an active role in the financial centre. The Federation brings together representatives of banks, insurance companies, investment funds, wealth managers, chartered accountants, auditors, domiciliation specialists, lawyers and ancillary activities. First and foremost, it seeks to promote a coherent and clear image of Luxembourg as a prestigious international financial centre.
While continuing to prioritize the defence of the interests of their associations and institutions, the members of PROFIL combine their efforts in order to introduce public opinion to the numerous facets of the financial centre, which, through the innovative spirit of its operators and the foresight of its political leaders, has acquired a prominent position worldwide.
In fulfilling its mission, PROFIL also contributes to the overall promotion of the Grand Duchy. It is therefore the discussion partner for promotional experts at the political level and for the public bodies responsible for the development and supervision of the financial sector.
In order to enhance promotion efforts with foreign countries and to ensure a coordinated and structured communication policy, the Luxembourg Government and PROFIL concluded a public private partnership under the denomination Luxembourg for Finance (LFF), or Agency for the Development of the Financial Centre.
