ABBL

The Law of 10 November 2009 on Payment Services, which transposed the PSD (Directive 2007/64/CE), was published in Mémorial A-215 on 11 November 2009 and entered into force on 1 November 2009.

The ABBL’s Payments, Information Systems & Standardisation Committee (CMPSIS) set up a Working Group (WG) specifically to act as liaison with the public authorities responsible for transposing the directive into national law, and for supporting its members during the process of transposing the PSD (Payment Services Directive) in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

At European level, the ABBL participated in the work of the group of experts responsible for analyzing the impact of transposing the PSD established by EBF (European Banking Federation).

Ineum Consulting, a member of the ABBL, assisted the CMPSIS WG in producing this “Guide for Payment Services Providers”.
