The Partners of Ernst & Young Luxembourg will present the results of a mini-survey on Customer tax reporting conducted in December 2011, in kind collaboration with the Private Banking Group of the Luxembourg Bankers Association (ABBL).
The event will address current market challenges around:
• Customers’ demands for better reporting requirements to enable them to provide accurate information to tax authorities.
• Transparency demands by tax authorities are creating pressure on financial services companies to provide better customer information especially in a cross border context.
• Data issues restricting automated reporting capabilities or leading to significant manual intervention.
• Little or no quality assurance over reported numbers may lead to loss of customers.
• Complex investment products – inability for automated systems to calculate gains on complex products or to deal with portfolios of HNWI’s.
