XBRL: Linking Business, Public Regulators & Citizens
Viale del Pattinaggio 100 -- Rome 00144, Italy
20th International Conference
Global leaders who met recently for the G20 summits concluded “that because prosperity is indivisible, a global crisis demands global action.” The actions identified included: better regulation, stronger mandates & coordination with standard setting bodies. They also discussed the need for “greater transparency to rebuild trust in the global economy and avoid another such economic crisis”.

To this end Tuesday morning, 20 April, premier keynote speakers, will consider the many ways XBRL, the standard language for electronic reporting, is meeting these objectives and enabling the connection between the public and private sectors of global finance & business reporting. The Main Stage keynote speakers will explore how XBRL, interactive data, reduces the reporting burden leading towards better regulation and disclosure and facilitates risk management & assurance.
Following the Main Stage Program, Conference Track Sessions will support this theme through detailed case studies which demonstrate how XBRL is used by business registries, tax agencies, banking and capital markets to improve transparency, efficiency and ultimately the public trust.
Track Sessions will be followed on Thursday, 22 April with the 20th Conference Closing Main Stage Ceremony, highlights and recap of all sessions and announcement of the 21st International Conference location and dates.
