According to the latest study on the impact of the financial centre on the Luxembourg economy, the direct and and indirect added value of the financial sector increased by 19% in 2010. The financial sector and related activities thus represented 38% of Luxembourg GDP.

With over 63'000 employees, the sector represents 17% of total employment in Luxembourg.

The financial sector, moreover, contributes more than 3 billion Euros in terms of State tax revenues. As such, the finance industry represents 30% of tax revenues for the Luxembourg State.
