Within the EU, Luxembourg is the second major jurisdiction in terms of concentration of financial and banking activity. Luxembourg’s flexible banking and investment fund legislation and extensive network of double tax treaties have enabled it to establish itself as a leading centre for international lending, investment funds, private equity and private banking.

The seminar will cover the Luxembourg framework offered for investment funds that can be globally distributed as well as current private equity structures using Luxembourg vehicles, and will also give an update on the tax-treaty network offered by Luxembourg and present practical cases of innovate Shari’ah-compliant transactions.
