In the context of Cybersecurity Week, ABBL together with EY organised an event bringing together cybersecurity practitioners and executives from the financial sector, the public sector and NGOs to assess ongoing developments as well as important dynamics that are likely to shape the practice of cybersecurity going forward.
As a consequence of the inexorable march of digitalisation in the financial sector, cybersecurity is no longer an abstract notion nor an optionality, but rather a key consideration for all participants. As the preeminent financial industry association in Luxembourg, the ABBL provides its members with the resources and networking opportunities required to ensure they remain on the cutting edge of important developments in this space.
Tuesday’s event, hosted by EY, featured panelists from the European Commission, the Banque et Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat Luxembourg and the Cloud Security Alliance.
Attendees were briefed on the latest EU legislative & regulatory developments, the added value that global, open innovation networks provide to the ecosystem, as well as real-world considerations for retail banking.
