Lët’z say no to violence against women

ABBL Published 12.11.2019

As part of our corporate social responsibility commitments, the ABBL will once again support “Orange Week”.

The 2019 theme for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women is ‘Orange the World: Generation Equality Stands Against Rape’. As in previous years, this year’s International Day will mark the launch of 16 days of activism that will conclude on 10 December 2019, which is International Human Rights Day.

Our CSR policy is founded on basic human values. One of those values is solidarity: solidarity guides our actions and relationships with our members, stakeholders and the general public.

We will demonstrate our solidarity with the fight against violence towards women by lighting up the House of Finance building during Orange Week.

About Orange Week in Luxembourg

The Orange Week organised by the Ministry of Equality and the Luxembourg section of Zonta International aims at raising awareness and taking action to end violence against women and girls.

To this end, a wide range of events and conferences will be organised around this theme from 19 November 2019 to 10 December 2019.

To ensure greater visibility and scope for this event, we encourage you to participate. This may involve organising your own events or initiatives to symbolise your commitment, or simply illuminating your building in orange.
