Ananda Kautz joined the ABBL mid-August 2020 as Head of Innovation, Digital Banking and Payments.

Ananda will be in charge of supporting ABBL’ members in achieving digital transformation, adapting to challenges and strengthening their positions by seizing opportunities related to digitalisation and innovation.

According to Ananda: “We are in a disruptive era in financial services giving rise to new services, new business models, new entrants driven by technological, market, regulatory changes and more demanding customers who expect seamless experience across channels anytime anywhere. This is a challenging mix but that offers huge opportunities”.

On the Payments area, Ananda will contribute to making Luxembourg an international payments centre of excellence by supporting an innovative payments ecosystem and helping attract new service providers.

“There is an acceleration in the payments landscape linked to all these changes in the ecosystem and a special focus on developing further an European independent and strong digital single market. Luxembourg has an important role to play on it. Collaboration among existing and new players will be key”.

According to Yves Maas, ABBL CEO: “I am delighted to welcome Ananda to the ABBL, where her knowledge and experience will ensure that our industry keeps abreast of digital trends and developments, now a core business of the banking sector.”

Ananda began her career in Luxembourg in 2006 at PwC, where she contributed to financial center studies and advisory projects.

She then joined ING Luxembourg where she developed her managerial and business skills over the past 11 years. After a management position at the division’s Strategy & Business Intelligence, where she developed the data analytics and contributed actively to the Retail omni-channel strategy, she joined the Corporate Banking division in a sales position in Payments & Cash Management where she worked closely with Luxembourg established large corporates, financial institutions and Private Equity firms.

Her expertise in payments and digital tools, her understanding of a bank’s value chain and her client focus will certainly be key assets to the ABBL and its members.

Ananda graduated with a business degree from ESSEC (France) and Concordia University (Canada) and has Master’s degree from Université Paris Dauphine (France). Ananda has followed professional training in Data-driven digital marketing and Agile project management.
