Guy Hoffmann – Chairman
Guy Hoffmann, born on 26 May 1964 in Esch/Alzette (Luxembourg), holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Sheffield Hallam University and honed his skills by completing various academic and executive education programs including courses at IMD (Lausanne) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers (London). In 1987, he started his professional career at Banque Générale du Luxembourg (BGL). He stayed with BGL until 2007 where he held various senior positions including Director of Commercial Banking and Head of International Risk Management.
In 2007, Guy Hoffmann joined Banque Raiffeisen Luxembourg as Adviser to the Management Board. After having become a Member of the Management Board in 2007 and Member of the Board of Directors in 2008, he was appointed CEO in 2011.
Guy Hoffmann holds a series of professional mandates. He is amongst others Member of the Executive Committee of the European Association of Cooperative Banks (Brussels), Member of the Presidium at the International Raiffeisen Union (Bonn) and Member elect of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
Guy Hoffmann has been a Member of the ABBL Board of Directors since 2016 and elected ABBL Chairman on 20 April 2018.
Yves Maas – Vice-Chairman
Yves Maas, born on 29 January 1963 in Esch/Alzette (Luxembourg), holds a language degree from Universität des Saarlandes. In 1989, he embarked on his professional career at Cedelbank Luxembourg as Customer Services Officer. He stayed at Cedelbank until 1999 and held various senior positions including Director for Product Development and Member of the Executive Management Board.
In 1999, Yves Maas joined Credit Suisse Private Banking as Head of Securities & Treasury, IT & Operations and Member of the Executive Board, where he managed a staff of 2200 employees. In 2001, he became Member of the Management Committee Technology & Operations and Head of Private Banking Operations Switzerland, managing operations functions for all Swiss based booked business.
From 2004 to 2012, Yves Maas held the position of Head of International Operations of the Private Banking Division of Credit Suisse Zurich. In this capacity, he managed 23 private banking locations and was in charge of operations teams outside Switzerland through regional structures (EMEA, US, APAC) as well as managing project teams supporting business development for the private bank.
In April 2012, Yves Maas returned to Luxembourg to become CEO and Member of the Board of Credit Suisse Luxembourg S.A. and Country Head Credit Suisse Luxembourg, which includes the management of CS Luxembourg branches in Greece, Portugal and Austria.
Since March 2017, Yves Maas holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Credit Suisse Luxembourg S.A.
Yves Maas has been Chairman of the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL) from 25 April 2014 to 20 April 2018. He has been elected Vice-Chairman on 20 April 2018.
