How banks and bank employees behave is constantly under scrutiny. For a whole host of reasons, from client confidentiality to anti-money laundering regulations, bankers are held to a very high level of ethical conduct.
Understanding and implementing the various directives and regulations in force around compliance, due diligence, reporting and other professional obligations is a significant challenge.
One of the main subjects for our Professional Obligations team is AML.
The ABBL provides its members with an interactive Handbook of professional obligations with which financial entities must comply in relation to anti money laundering and counter terrorist financing (AML/CFT). The Handbook is available in English and in French.
