The ABBL and Accenture invite you to the annual ABBL CFO Roundtable, on Thursday 1 July 2021, from 13:00 to 14:15. We will explore, with you and your peers, the current and future role of CFOs in the financial industry, through the sharing of experiences and new ideas.
For this 2021 session, we will focus on the practical aspects of the CFO function, with 4 use cases presented in speed dating format.
A live panel will animate the second half of the session, with CFOs debating and reacting to the questions asked live by the audience via chat.
4 use cases
The use cases presented address ways to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs through technology, simple outsourcing and mutualisation. Based on real-life experiences, they focus on the following topics:
- Reporting & data architecture: diversity in reporting (and Fast closing) remains a difficult task for the CFO to manage. A proper and revised data architecture improves and simplifies this CFO reporting.
- Outsourcing of reporting: a model for outsourcing reporting based on the IFRS17 Platform as a Service for a Credit Insurer.
- Banking operations as a service: focus on procurement as a service and trading as a service.
- Mutualisation for smaller banks: practical guidance, levers and business cases.
Although these topics are generally not the exclusive domain of the CFO, the increased pressure on revenue growth is bringing the CFO more and more into these discussions, in his role as the ” Grand Argentier ” of the bank.
