Neobanks: An opportunity behind each threat

General information

Event date:
10 June 2021 @ 11:00 - 12:00
Event location:
Webinar - 1468 Luxembourg

In recent years, we have seen a significant increase in the number of European digital banks. These digital banks – some of which are entirely fintech-based and operate online without traditional branches – have steadily increased their customer base while outperforming incumbents in the areas of customer experience and cost reduction. What does this mean for the financial services sector as a whole and how can traditional banks turn this threat into new opportunities?

The ABBL and Accenture are teaming up to bring you a webinar on the topic on Thursday 10 June 2021 at 11:00. This webinar is the first in a series on the specific challenges facing the Luxembourg banking sector.

Panel discussion

The webinar will be followed by a panel discussion with:

Moderator: Ananda Kautz – Head of Innovation, Digital Banking & Payments, ABBL

o   Christophe Maters – Head of Business Development, Quintet Private Bank
o   Dr. Edwin Van der Ouderaa – Senior Managing Director, Global Digital Banking Lead, Accenture
o   Jérémie Rosselli – General Manager France & BENELUX, N26
o   Marie Degrand-Guillaud – Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Nickel
o   Roger Kraemer – Head of Business Innovation, Spuerkeess

This session will give you an overview of the European digital banking landscape. We will share with you Accenture’s recent research and insights on digital banking trends, now and in the future.

This will be followed by a panel discussion in which members of the European and Luxembourg banking industry will present their views and identify key areas that traditional banks should address in order to remain relevant in a rapidly evolving market characterised by alternative forms of banking services and customer experience.
