Job Description

Key responsibilities:

* Analyse credit requests, structures and strategies of clients; advise on appropriateness of structure vis-à-vis client’s wealth and income;
* Determine appropriate lending structure and solutions for clients within acceptable credit/risk parameters and in close cooperation with our front office, risk and legal departments;
* Play a key role in credit structuring, approval and review processes:
- Prepare term sheets, credit applications, annual reviews and memos;
- Perform direct analysis, due diligence and credit presentation;
- Recommend and review documentation and pricing.
* Balance objectives of client, new business generation and risk management;
* Monitor and periodically assess outstanding lending transactions, here under test of covenants, check
undertakings, etc.;
* Monitoring of performance, counter party risks and collateral position on individual loan and portfolio level;
* Tailor and refine credit/legal documentation with the support of internal and external legal counsel;
* Participation in internal projects related to the continuous improvement of the above activities and the
general operation of the bank and its credit department.

Required Experience

* Degree in Legal, Banking, Economy, Business or related studies;
* Minimum of seven years professional experience in private and/or corporate banking credit;
* Expertise in Lombards, mortgages and structuring complex asset backed transactions;
* Sound understanding of financial markets and products;
* Energetic and driven with the ability to demonstrate excellent relationship management skills;
* High level of analytical skills, including financial analysis, and communication skills;
* Ability to identify and analyse credit opportunities and the attendant credit risks;
* Familiarity and expertise with credit documentation;
* Hands on approach, working autonomously, highly service- and quality oriented;
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
* Fluency in English and French are mandatory (written and spoken), German, Italian and Spanish are
strong assets.
