Cyberfraud.lu: ABBL relays the second wave of the national awareness campaign
Published on 04 January 2026
Following the launch of Luxembourg’s first national campaign against online fraud in 2024, a second wave of the cyberfraud.lu awareness initiative is now being rolled out with a wider set of ready-to-use communication materials and practical content. Coordinated by the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity, and supported by a broad coalition of partners across finance, telecom, insurance and cybersecurity, including the ABBL. Its objective remains unchanged: help individuals and organisations adopt the right reflexes to prevent online fraud and react appropriately in case of doubt.
Summary
What’s new in this second wave
This second phase provides a larger range of content structured around six topics:
- best practices
- key figures
- useful contacts
- definitions of key terms
- “top 3” common mistakes and good reflexes
- quiz stories and interactive formats
ABBL will relay these materials in English through its communication channels over an initial period of four weeks, and may extend the campaign depending on its reach and engagement.
All practical advice and useful contacts are available on: cyberfraud.lu
How ABBL member can support the campaign
ABBL member institutions are encouraged to amplify the campaign’s messages by:
- resharing ABBL’s LinkedIn posts and using the campaign visuals
- sharing the key reflexes internally with employees
- relaying cyberfraud.lu on their own channels and communication touchpoints
As the voice of the Luxembourg banking sector, ABBL contributes to ensuring that coordinated, trusted and practical prevention messages reach the widest possible audience — including employees and customers of member institutions — and supports the collective effort to strengthen digital trust in Luxembourg.
