Annual Depositary Banking Cluster Meeting

Last week, the DBCL cluster held its highly anticipated annual meeting at the Chamber of Commerce. The event brought together 35 of our esteemed experts to exchange insights and discuss the latest advancements and ongoing projects within the cluster.

A key highlight of the event was the insightful presentation by KPMG, which unveiled the results of their comprehensive study on the Depository Banking & Custodian sector. The findings shed light on critical trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the industry today, sparking valuable discussions among attendees. This in-depth analysis provided members with key data that will be instrumental in navigating the evolving landscape of depositary banking and custodian services.
The annual meeting also served as an important platform to update our members on the various priorities being pursued by the Executive Council. These priorities include fostering closer exchanges with other professional associations to strengthen industry partnerships, addressing key advocacy issues, and engaging in regulatory discussions with the CSSF. The Council also shared its ongoing efforts to ensure that the sector remains adaptable to emerging regulatory and market changes.
Another significant announcement made during the meeting was the launch of an innovation bootcamp. This initiative, developed in collaboration with ABBL and LHoFT, will seek to explore new technological solutions and best practices for improving operational efficiencies and client services in the depositary and custodian banking sector.
