On the evening of 26 March, the ABBL FinTech & Innovation Forum convened at Banque Raiffeisen for a forward-looking session dedicated to AI-driven transformation in the financial sector. The event brought together banking professionals, FinTech innovators and industry stakeholders to exchange views on how artificial intelligence is reshaping the customer journey—from digital onboarding to KYC and loan origination.

Summary

Ananda Kautz highlights the Forum’s role in driving innovation

The evening opened with a warm welcome from Banque Raiffeisen, followed by a strategic presentation from Claire Lubnau on how the bank is enhancing customer experience through AI.

Ananda Kautz, Head of Innovation, Digital & Payments at the ABBL and Chair of the FinTech & Innovation Forum, underlined the growing importance of collaboration and experimentation in financial innovation:

The Forum is a platform where innovation meets reality. By bringing together banks, FinTechs and service providers, we aim to accelerate the sector’s digital transition while keeping a clear focus on trust and value for customers.

Alongside Ananda, Jacques Pütz (Spuerkeess) emphasised the key role the Forum plays in supporting the ABBL’s ambition to drive digitalisation across Luxembourg’s financial ecosystem.

From use cases to real-life impact

The audience also heard from three FinTech firms—Mopso, United Signals, and iHub—with concrete examples of how AI and digital tools are creating tangible value in financial services. Each case demonstrated new ways to streamline internal processes and improve customer experience.

The evening’s panel discussion, moderated by Jean-Pierre Schmit (jemmic), Vice-Chair of the Forum, brought together Analia Clouet (Banque Raiffeisen), Ronan Vander Elst (Deloitte Luxembourg), Johan Bjurup (Advanzia Bank), and Tim Mussche (nCino). The panellists exchanged views on the opportunities and challenges of bank–FinTech collaboration, regulatory expectations, and the evolving role of AI in financial institutions.

    Strengthening connections

The event concluded with informal networking, highlighting once again the power of open dialogue and partnership in driving innovation within Luxembourg’s financial landscape.

The ABBL warmly thanks Banque Raiffeisen for hosting this edition of the Forum, as well as all contributors and attendees who continue to shape the future of finance.
