The European Banking Authority’s Final Guidelines on the management of ESG risks, published on 8 January 2025, set out detailed requirements for integrating environmental, social and governance risks into institutions’ governance, risk management and internal processes. The Guidelines clarify supervisory expectations on proportionality, transition planning and forward-looking risk assessment.
