Published on 14 August 2024
The official Luxembourg public and bank holidays for 2025 have been published, providing essential dates for employees, banks, and financial institutions to plan their activities and ensure compliance with labour and banking regulations.
Summary
We are pleased to announce that the official calendar of public holidays for 2025 in Luxembourg has been published. These dates are essential for the country’s financial centre, as they provide a framework for planning throughout the year.
In Luxembourg, public holidays are statutory and compensated if they fall on a weekend, ensuring employees don’t miss out on their entitled days off. Additionally, there are specific bank holidays that apply to the financial sector, as outlined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Bank Employees. These bank holidays are not compensated when they coincide with a weekend.
