Market Risk and Data Reporting Officer – Mandarin and English speaker

ICBC (Europe) S.A. in Luxembourg is looking for a Mandarin and English speaker to act as Market Risk and Data Reporting Officer to join the Risk Management Department under a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will primarily support the Bank’s daily Market Risk monitoring and reporting activities, while also contributing to AnaCredit reporting and data quality, reconciliation and broader risk data and reporting initiatives. The position combines hands-in-market risk controlees with data and reporting activities aimed at strengthening the Risk Management Department’s reporting framework.

Market Risk:

• Perform daily independent monitoring and controls of Treasury activities and positions, including FX, money market transactions, bonds and derivatives;
• Monitor market risk exposures and limits investigate unusual movements and promptly escalate limit breaches or market risk developments;
• Perform post-trade market risk controls and contribute to the review of the risk implications of new or complex Treasury transactions;
• Prepare and enhance daily, periodic and regularly Market Risk reports;
• Monitor and support Market Risk reporting and controls performed by the Branches of the Bank;
• Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the Market Risk policies, procedures, limits, methodologies and parameters.

AnaCredit and Data Reporting:

• Support the AnaCredit reporting process, in particular data quality controls, reconciliation, investigation and remediation of reporting issues;

• Work closely with relevant internal departments (Financial Accounting, IT, Compliance, and Operation Management) to ensure consistency, completeness and traceability of reported data;
• Support the development and automation of the Risk Management Department’s reporting environment and broader risk data aggregation initiatives.

Internal Projects:

• Contribute to regulatory and data-driven projects aiming at improving risk monitoring, reporting automation, and control frameworks;
• Other works assigned by the Chief Risk Officer or the Management.

• Master’s degree in Data science, Finance, Statistics, or related fields;
• Fluent in Mandarin and English;
• Minimum 2-3 year-experience in market risk treasury products and/or financial data is preferred;
• Exposure to AnaCredit would be an advantage;
• Good MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
• Good command of programming tools such as VBA, Python, Access or SQL;
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently in an international and dynamic environment;
• Sense of discretion, confidentiality, integrity and transparency.
