On 10 July 2019, the ABBL officially signed the UN Principles for Responsible Banking (UNEP FI), becoming the first Luxembourg financial sector actor to do so. The commitment underscores ABBL’s strategy to promote sustainable finance, aligned with the Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Roadmap. Through dedicated working groups, ESG-compliant products, client awareness, and training initiatives, ABBL aims to position Luxembourg as a leader in responsible banking. Supported by national ministers and UNEP FI, this milestone confirms ABBL’s role in advancing sustainability and encouraging its members to adopt concrete actions for a more inclusive and sustainable financial system.
