Call for support: funding scholarships for international students in finance

Published on 10 April 2026

The University of Luxembourg is calling on ABBL members to support scholarships for outstanding international students in finance-related disciplines.

Summary

The University of Luxembourg is calling on ABBL members to support the funding of scholarships for outstanding international students in key financial disciplines. This initiative aims to strengthen Luxembourg’s attractiveness while contributing to the development of the next generation of talent for the financial centre.

    Attracting international talent

The University of Luxembourg plays a key role in attracting international talent to the country, particularly through programmes in law, economics and finance such as the Master in Finance and Economics, the Master in Wealth Management, and the Master in Quantitative Economics and Finance.

To further strengthen this contribution, the University is seeking support from ABBL members to finance scholarships for high-potential international students.

These scholarships aim to enable talented individuals, who may face financial constraints, to pursue high-level academic programmes in Luxembourg and contribute to the future of the financial centre.

By supporting this initiative, financial sector organisations contribute to:

    • Developing future talent for Luxembourg
    • Strengthening the country’s international attractiveness
    • Advancing their CSR commitments

Every contribution helps transform a student’s academic journey into long-term value for both Luxembourg and the supporting institution.

    Key figures

    • EUR 8,500 per year, over two years
    • Target: 8 scholarships
    • Contributions can cover one or more scholarships
    • Selection based on academic merit, motivation and potential

Members interested in supporting this initiative are invited to contact: member-relations@abbl.lu
