The role centers on regulatory impact analysis, policy response drafting, and stakeholder engagement to promote proportionate regulation and effective risk oversight.
Your tasks
- Analyse prudential regulations (capital, liquidity, governance, reporting) for impacts on banks’ business models, risks, and operations.
- Draft impact assessments, briefing notes, policy responses, and position papers for ABBL committees and consultations at national/European levels.
- Coordinate member input via working groups, surveys, and exchanges to build evidence-based ABBL positions.
- Represent ABBL in meetings with supervisors, authorities, and peers on supervision and risk topics.
- Monitor supervisory practices and emerging risks (credit, market, liquidity, operational, model); produce guidance for members.
- Develop communication materials (FAQs, presentations, notes) to aid supervisory compliance.
Your profile
- University degree (Master’s preferred) in Finance, Economics, Law or Risk Management; additional professional certification in risk or regulation is considered an asset.
- 5-7 years in banking supervision, prudential policy, risk, or regulatory advisory (bank, authority, consultancy, association).
- Strong knowledge of prudential frameworks and supervisory processes (e.g., CRD/CRR, SREP, reporting, stress testing, recovery and resolution).
- Fluency in English and French (written and spoken); knowledge of German is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex regulatory texts and quantify their impact on banks and the financial centre.
- Excellent drafting and synthesis capabilities in English (and preferably French) for high quality policy papers, senior briefings, and external communication.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills to align diverse member interests, build consensus, and represent ABBL.
- A proactive and solution oriented mindset: autonomous, well organised, and resilient under tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and team spirit in handling sensitive supervisory and strategic topics at the heart of Luxembourg’s banking community.
We offer
- Remuneration according to profile and experience.
- Work within a collaborative, dynamic and international team.
- Regular interaction with key decision-makers in the banking sector, as well as with government and regulatory authorities.
