Newcomers’ Conference: Introduction to Luxembourg Financial Law

The Luxembourg Banking & Financial Law Association (ALJB) is organising the second edition of its Newcomers’ Conference: Introduction to Luxembourg Financial Law, following the success of the inaugural event held in 2025.
Designed primarily for lawyers who are new to Luxembourg’s financial centre, this introductory course provides a practical overview of the country’s legal framework governing the financial sector. It is also relevant for legal practitioners from other disciplines wishing to develop a better understanding of Luxembourg financial law.
The conference will be chaired by Me Nicolas Thieltgen, President of the ALJB, and will cover the fundamental pillars of Luxembourg financial law through sessions delivered by experienced practitioners. Topics include:
- Fundamentals and sources of Luxembourg financial law
- Investment funds law
- Banking law
- Insurance law
Participants attending the full programme will receive a certificate of attendance. The ALJB is recognised by the Luxembourg Bar as an accredited training organisation, allowing members of the Bar to use the certificate towards their continuing professional education requirements.
