On 2 February 2022, the ABBL and ACA announced enhanced cooperation to strengthen their impact on Luxembourg’s financial centre. While remaining independent, the associations will coordinate on EU-level advocacy, notably by expanding the ABBL/ALFI Brussels office to cover insurance dossiers. They will also issue joint positions on sustainable finance, labour law, taxation, and financial education, and deepen employer representation collaboration. ABBL Chairman Guy Hoffmann and ACA Chairman Marc Lauer emphasised that this formalised partnership will give members a stronger voice and reinforce Luxembourg’s competitiveness by aligning banking and insurance interests.
