This document provides an overview of the European Commission’s proposal for a Regulation establishing a 28th regime corporate legal framework, published on 18 March 2026.
It summarises the main features of the proposed framework, including the introduction of the EU Inc., a new optional, digital-by-default European company model, as well as key elements such as fast-track incorporation, simplified procedures and the “once-only submission” principle.
It also recalls ABBL’s engagement on the proposal through its contribution to ongoing discussions at national and European level.
