The 2023 OECD/INFE International Survey on Adult Financial Literacy reveals mixed results for Luxembourg. While the country ranked 5th among 39 participants with an average score of 63/100, only 53% of residents reached the OECD’s minimum benchmark of 70 points. Young adults (18–29) performed below both national and OECD averages, especially in digital financial literacy and financial well-being. The CSSF and the ABBL Foundation for Financial Education call for stronger initiatives, including integrating financial education into school curricula and expanding awareness campaigns and tools like the Money Odyssey app, to better equip citizens for economic and societal challenges.
