ICBC (Europe) S.A. is the regional management platform of ICBC on Continental Europe headquarteredin Luxembourg. The Bank plays an important role in serving European clients and fostering economiccooperation between China and Europe through its 6 branches in the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain and its Representative Office in Greece. The EU is regarded as a key footholdinICBC’s global network.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide effective challenges as well as guidance to the proposals from Front Office;
- Draft and present credit review report and opinions to Credit Committee, by maintaininganobjective and independent view within the credit process, in accordance with the Bank’s creditpolicies;
- Effective management of the assigned credit portfolio (including annual reviews, waivers, amendment, etc) through a responsible, forward-looking and risk-conscious assessment incompliance with the relevant policies and credit standard;
- Proactively adopt the principles of ICBC Global Credit policy, ensuring that all proposals andreviewsare compliant with the agreed procedures;
- Perform credit review and research of industry / customer-related information for all newproposalsand (on at least an annual basis) for existing customers;
- Coordinate with the Credit Risk Officers on related issues (e.g., policy and manual updates, etc);
- Other tasks as directed by the Head of department or the management.
Your profile:
- Business school or university degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics;
- Minimum 5 years experience in credit analysis;
- Fluent in English; Mandarin would be an asset;
- In-depth knowledge and deep understanding of risk an mitigations across industries, countries andclients’ type. Business and economy related know-how, and excellent financial analysis, projectionand stress test skills;
- Very good analytical and negotiation skills and dedicated problem solver;
- Team player and ability to complete tasks independently;
- Sense of discretion, confidentiality, integrity and transparency.
